The wonders of exercise and music!

I have a 120 gig Zune, and it accompanies me almost everywhere. A very solid buy on my end! I go walk Queeny park quite a bit. I throw that Zune on shuffle and magic just happens, I don't normally listen to songs in their entirity, I'm very antsy. When I'm at queeny I just let it ride.

Digital Conversion

I think that is funny that Barack was trying to delay the digital conversion. I think if you dragged your feet this long, after the constant bombarding of commercials, plus it was the first thing they said on the news for like 3 months in a row....you should just suffer! I'm glad congress voted to nix the delay! Normally I side with Mr.Obama, but really Barack...keep focused on the economy...people used to not have T.V's and they functioned very well by reading booking, talking to each other...going outside!!!! If are a dumbass and are not prepared for the conversion, then just sit in front of your computer and I'm sure all the mindless TV shows are on the channel's website.

In other news, I started school back on Tuesday...man, talk about hitting the ground running! Busy right off the bat, no break in period.

I had a friend of mine call last night. He called to ask if I'd gotten my ticket to Todd Snider @ The Duck Room on the 27th of this month. I explained to him that I bought my ticket Tuesday and got the last one(it is sold out). I told him I'd tape the show(Todd has open taping policies)...Well I get off the phone, and Danielle tells me, "you told me that you already called ____ to tell them that it was sold out." I said "no", she said "yes you did"....now this went back and forth for a bit. It ended with her saying she blames her boss, because they had been talking about the ability of being able to see the future....so we chalked it up to that.

Hey gang,

Not much happening, watched some good hockey this weekend, hung out with Danielle and my sister-in-law shannon. Tomorrow is the last day of total freedom, and I have managed to make it one of my more busy days...oh well.

I lost my phone this week, that kinda sucked...I like the phone that I got, but not as much as the Pantech Matrix I had. AT&T were out of the Matrix and sent me the Samsung Propel. I dig it, Danielle has the same phone. Oh well, more mad about having to pay $50 for the insurance claim.

I'm always excited to start school again, that will last for about a week. It will be good to see my friends & teachers again.

I have to get my Todd Snider concert ticket this week. He is playing the Blueberry Hill "Duck Room". For those that don't know Todd, he is the modern day Jerry Jeff Walker or John Prine. Very entertaining, funny, good show...I am anxious to see him in a small venue.

Surgery Day

Well Danielle had her surgery today to have a cyst about the size of a baseball removed from her ovary. Everything went fine. The OB/GYN was a trip, he came out to talk to me after the surgery. I like Docs that don't act like they are above their patients. I also like Docs that respect that I am in the process of studying to become a Doctor and they talk in medical terminology to me and not lay-talk. Well, this dude did all that and then some, like a couple s-bombs...yeah...he is still about connecting w/his patients and their family!

We are back at home,Danielle is resting on the couch and I am gearing up for the new season of Biggest Loser. I love that show, it is like crack.

In some sad news, The Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton passed away. Iggy & The Stooges are the true fathers of balls-out rock'n'roll.

Holy Crap!! The first post.

My wife,family members & friends all are in the blogging world. I always read their blogs but never thought to do it myself. Never thought that i had anything to say, but I have tons of opinions...

So I am on break from Logan for about 9 more days and I am at home folding laundry and watching the latest Bret Michaels project on VH1...what is it now "Rock of Love 9,000"?? Thanks Bret, because your piece of shite program has got me wanting to blog! Don't get me wrong, I dig Bret, nice guy, met him a couple times, even played a game of B-ball with him and the guys from Damn Yankees many moons ago...but WTF!?! I'm watching these train-wrecked, coked out, rode hard women that make Sarah Palin look like Einstein! What does the media think of American society(us) in general...are we that dumb? Are we served dumb media? Why do I feel like kicking my own ass after watching that? Why did I watch that? With all that being said, I am a sucker for shows like Biggest Loser & Celebrity Rehab... I believe that those shows can hopeful change some average folks lives, keep them away from drugs, help them change dietary and exercise habits. Most days I like to keep it on the history channel though!

Enough venting...now I realize why you all do this!!! lol
